There are only a few days left in the month of Movember… and what a wonderful month of Movember it has been! If you recall (if you don’t, see the post below) my esteemed colleague Josh Grider and I jumped behind the Movember movement at the beginning of the month after learning of the charitable cause at a gig of ours in Houston by some Mo Bros already participating.
We, being the kind of dudes who appreciate a good mustachio, we, my friends, were all over this. With two days to go, our team of like-minded facial hair warriors, THE MOSICIANS, have raised over $1,000– all of which goes directly to Livestrong and The Prostate Cancer Foundation. I was excited to find such a hip and organized charity that dealt with awareness of two strictly male health issues– testicular and prostate cancer.
To wrap things up, Josh and I will convene at The Phoenix Saloon in downtown New Braunfels tomorrow (Tuesday, Movember 30th) to throw a final Movember party. We’ll have some Movember gear for you, and you’ll also have the chance to throw a few bucks into our donation bucket– all of which will go directly to Movember. It’s a free show– if it weren’t a free show I’m guessing tickets would be, like, $750 a piece or something– I mean, we are two titans of music– and seriously, how often do you get to see Josh and I together… so hopefully you’ll be able to toss a couple of nickels into the jar.
My mustache, pictured above (on my face), would like to thank all of your for your love and support, and he’d like to give a quick shout out to Catfish Hunter and Rollie Fingers for the inspiration. He’ll see you again next Movember.
Send him out in style tomorrow at the Phoenix.
